Yesterday was 20.05.2025, and in just a few days it will be 25.05.2025. Beyond the beauty of spring sweeping across the Northern Hemisphere and the wonderfully soft sunlight bathing Birds Hotel Molino, there’s something about these two dates that gives you pause. The magic of numbers, once again.

You may not remember, but one of the very first blogs on this page was titled 20.02.2020. Little did we know back then that it would be our last blog before the global lockdown—when we lost clients and had to redefine our business.

But from that challenge, a better idea emerged. We shifted our focus to bird photography, and Holmes became part of a vibrant community of birders—both in Peru and around the world. We renamed the hotel, adding Birds to the beginning, and redesigned our logo to reflect this new direction.

A lot has changed in just five years—in the life of BHM, ours, and likely in yours, too.

Enjoy the very special 25.05.2025—perhaps you’ll even find your own way to celebrate it. We certainly will: by taking our loved ones out for lunch, making a long-overdue call to a dear old friend, and continuing to build this business, finding joy in every step along the way.
